Intensive oil painting weekend workshop with Nicole Bauberger

August 21-23, 2015
$50 for whole weekend, $30 for one day.
Maximum participants 8. Ages 12 and up, though 12-18 year olds need to be accompanied by an adult. You can register for part of it if that is all you can do.

During this workshop Nicole will circulate to offer small demos focussed on questions that arise during the painting process. Evening sessions will look at what each other has done and share discoveries.
You’ll be camping independently. Make sure you have what you need. Bring your oil or acrylic painting kit. Bring strategies to stay warm and dry outside. Nicole will demonstrate in oils. She will share some colours but you should mostly have your own materials, including three surfaces about 12x12 or 9x14 or thereabouts.
Friday 5-6:30 p.m. Meet and greet, bring a painting or an image of a painting. We will talk about what you would like to get out of the weekend.
Saturday 9-12 - Demo - I do painting in oils, participants watch, ask questions.
1-2 Students get their materials together and set up in their painting location.
2-5 Students paint, Nicole circulates
5-7 supper break
7-8:30 Look at and talk about paintings, challenges. Nicole responds with specific problem solving.
Sunday 9-10 set up to paint
11-5 paint, one or two paintings, Nicole circulates, does focussed demos
7-9 show and talk - open to the public dropping in
