The excitement is building as we extend a warm invitation to the 2023 Alaskan Bald Eagle Festival, a three-day extravaganza celebrating the stunning Bald Eagles and the natural wonders of Alaska. From November 10th to 12th, 2023, venture to Haines, Alaska, and immerse yourself in the captivating world of these magnificent birds.

But here’s the real magic: each November, the Valley of Eagles plays host to the largest gathering of Bald Eagles in the entire country. It’s a breathtaking spectacle, a sight to behold, as historically up to 3,000 of these majestic creatures converge along a four-mile stretch of the Chilkat River within the expansive 48,000-acre Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve, just a stone’s throw from Haines.

These magnificent eagles return to the Chilkat Valley each autumn to partake in a grand feast, courtesy of the late salmon run.
