4 Tbsps butter
3 Tbsps flour
1 1/2 cups milk
Salt and pepper
3 cups grated cheese
2 cups dry macaroni
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook macaroni according to package directions. While the water is coming to a boil cook the sauce.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, when melted add the flour and whisk until fully combined. Pour in milk and continue to whisk until the milk begins to bubble, then did cheese and continue to stir until cheese is fully melted and sauce is smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- When the pasta is cooked add it to the sauce and heat through and season to taste with salt and pepper and serve hot.
