Why won’t my event publish right away

When you submit your event, we make every effort to post it online and make it live as quickly as we can. This can take a day or more, but is frequently finished in a matter of hours. We do this in order to provide your event the best visibility we are able to offer and to keep the service at the highest level possible for all of our users. You can help ensure a smooth and speedy approval process by making sure all the information you enter is accurate and complete and that your feature image is submitted in the correct size (740×380)

What are you looking for when you are moderating events?

When we moderate your events, we look for a variety of factors, some of which you can control and others you can’t.

We make sure that the length of your headline, short description, and long description are all appropriate. We make sure the image you’ve provided has the proper shape and leaves the smallest possible digital impact (smallest file size). We assign your event to each of the more than 100 event categories to which it is applicable. We verify that all of the times and dates make sense and that repeats and exceptions are properly entered. We also ensure that the location information you have provided is accurate and our system has been properly updated.

We make some adjustments from the back end. For events where setting up a regular event doesn’t work effectively, we can construct events series. Some of them will be chosen to appear in the carousel on the main page and in the Featured Events section at the top of the column. We may also look for a few ways to enhance your event’s SEO so that users can find it more easily.
