The event is The Atlin Family Fun Fair which will be at the Tarahne Park. The festival or fair grounds will be filled with vendors, it will be like a marketplace with a carnival type atmosphere. Claire Ness with her clowns, stilt walkers, jugglers, and face painters will be there, the Bouncy house, blow up slide and wipeout obstacle course along with sumo wrestling suits and human soccer balls also. We will have carnival games and gold panning.

There will also be art workshops and we will have visual artists doing demonstrations at the park as well.

 

There will also be buskers that will play in the park and throughout town at a couple of different places.

Norman Foote – Juno Award winning children’s performer and Claire Ness will do a couple of performances as well as the Whitehorse Scottish dancers performing at the Rec Centre on Saturday and then of course we will have performances at the Globe and Kershaws, St Martins church and the Teen Centre will also have workshops throughout the day.

 

Tickets are $30.00 for folks to get into see the performances and take part in the workshops. The fairgrounds are open to the public. so folks can come in for the day from Whitehorse if they don’t want to camp.

There will be a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday July 7th at the Rec Centre tickets are $12.00 for adults and $7.00 for kids 4 to 12 and kids under 3 are free.
