Beringia Centre Science Talks – Dr. Robert Losey
Are you curious about archaeology, natural science, or palaeontology? You’re in luck! Beringia Centre Science Talks are back for a 4th season.
In this #BCST, we’re speaking with Dr. Robert Losey from University of Alberta about human’s best friend: dogs!
In this presentation, Dr. Losey will answer several important questions about the evolution of these faithful companions. What happened to dogs as they gradually became much smaller than their wolf cousins? Were they still able to hunt and feed like wolves? Why do most ancient dogs have diets much like the people they lived with? How did eating like a human affect dogs’ health? How does the study of ancient dog remains help us understand these processes?
