Blacksmithing Intro to the Induction Forge
Learn blacksmithing on Yukonstruct’s Induction Forge while making a coat hook
Get started blacksmithing and forge yourself a coat hook! You will use the induction forge to heat and shape metal and learn to use an anvil and basic hand tools.
This workshop covers the basics of how to use YuKonstruct’s induction forge including safety, power settings and working with different metals. Thanks to a small group size you will get lots of practice!
Closed-toe shoes and non-synthetic long-sleeve clothing are required for this workshop. Participants may wish to bring their own leather gloves and protective eyewear.
Considered orientation and safety training for the induction forge for Yukonstruct members.
About the instructor: Jeramy is a welder by trade and has been forging for over 20 years. Jeramy works at Yukonstruct.
