Indigenous Book Club: She Holds Up the Stars by Sandra Laronde

A free online event presented by Yukon Public Libraries and the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre. Author in attendance via Zoom. To get the Zoom link, email [email protected] 

A number of print books are available for anyone to borrow from Whitehorse Public Library. The eBook is available from the Hoopla app, with no wait times. You must have a library card to access the digital version.

It is not necessary to read the book in order to attend the discussion.

A highly accomplished arts leader, creator, and influential speaker, Sandra Laronde (Misko Kizhigoo Migizii Kwe) which means “Red Sky Eagle Woman” in Anishinaabemowin (Ojibway) language, is from the Teme-Augama-Anishinaabe (People of the Deep Water) in Temagami, northern Ontario and is based in Toronto.
