For this week’s kit, we’re taking a step back in time to the age of the dinosaurs!

Did you know that the Yukon was once home to dinosaurs? While most of the fossil evidence found here takes the form of trackways, aka trace fossils, these footprints give us a glimpse into the prehistoric world.

Each kit includes more information about dinosaurs and some of the materials required to make your own set of trackways. It’s a perfect activity for all ages, whether you’re a budding paleontologist or just looking for a fun and educational way to spend your weekend.

Kits are available free of charge at the Yukon Transportation Museum from March 18 to 20, between 12 and 5 pm. Supplies are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis
