Lights of Life
Lights of Life offers a way to remember the lives of our loved ones who have died. This year, we have moved the much loved tradition of the opening ceremony to an online format. Join us for this gentle, healing event that will feature music from the Persephone Singers under the direction of Barbara Chamberlin, healing words from guest speaker Megan Slobodin, poems ready by Katy Delau and Anne Macaire, as well as our host, Elaine Schimann.
Lights of Life trees will be available for hanging memorial tags at the Elijah Smith Building from December 15-22. There were will be several trees, including a child's tree and a pet tree. There will also be volunteer tree sitters ready to lend a listening ear. Hanging a tag in memory of a loved one is a meaningful thing to do on your own, or with family, friends, or coworkers.
Lights of Life trees are available at other locations in Whitehorse and in many Yukon communities. Check our website for details or call 667-7429
