1. There will be drop in curling tomorrow and Tuesday/Thursday for the next 1-2 weeks, cash only! $6.30 for adults, $5.25 for seniors, the league is pending.
Full Info:
Curling! There is no official league yet, but that will be coming once we sort out some of the details. For now it’s going to be drop in only so we can at least get out on the ice.
Couple of things:
Due to COVID only two sheets can be played on, so at most we can have 16 individuals on the ice at any given time. There can be a few more on the sidelines, but not many.
We won’t have access to the curling lounge, and currently there is no liquor license. If the numbers are there for a league we can look at this and get a proposal to the MOH for COVID approval like every other establishment with a liquor license during the pandemic.
We will have access to the brooms and sliders, there will be wipes to clean equipment, no sharing as per COVID rules.
Payment: For the drop in it’s going to be cash only as per standard rec centre fees $6.30 for adults, and $5.25 for seniors. We will not be able to accommodate punch cards for the time being. Please try to bring correct change, this will be done by honour system with the rec centre, there will be no rec centre staff on site.
I’ll do a quick review of the pertinent COVID rules for curling before we start, but here’s the 29 page curling Canada guide if you’re looking for something to help you sleep: https://www.curling.ca/.../10/Return-to-Play-CANADA-EN.pdf
