Noun [souuh r-doh, sou-er-] 

  1. Leaven, especially fermented dough retained from one baking and used, ratherthan fresh yeast, o start the next.
  2. A prospector or pioneer from Yukon Or Alaska.
  3. Any long time resident from Yukon or Alaska
  4. Someone who has lived in Yukon or Alaska for one full winter season.
  5. Nevermind let's face it, even if you make it a winter... a true sourdough is anyone who has lived in the North longer than you.
