Klondike Korner: Poetry Corner: Framework

Today, we are advertising

cloudy blue skies,

gravel and shrubs.

Yesterday, we were someone’s

dream of success,

prosperity on a billboard.

Some called us progress;

some, eyesore, then.

Now, we frame the

landscape and

invite random speculation,

art seeking

commerce with economy.

After 32 years teaching in rural Yukon schools, Dan Davidson retired from that profession but continues writing about life in Dawson City.
