BY DAN DAVIDSON
Who visits the neighbours
at five a.m., exciting
the watchers in the lane?
They pass the word from
house to house,
so quickly as to be almost
simultaneous,
yet slowly enough to be
a round,
fading now in the morning twilight,
dissolving into
my dog-eared dreams.
After 32 years teaching in rural Yukon schools, Dan Davidson retired from that profession but continues writing about life in Dawson City.
