Garlic roasted broccoli with lemon

Roasting broccoli will give it some extra pizzazz that is perfect for a simple weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 large broccoli crowns, sliced into large florets
  • 5 garlic cloves, halved
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 lemon, halved

Instructions

    1. Set the oven at 400 degrees. Toss broccoli, garlic, and oil together and season to taste with salt and pepper. Place on a lined baking sheet and roast for 15- 20 minutes, or until broccoli has begun to brown and garlic is toasted.
    2. When cool enough to handle, place roasted broccoli on a plate, drizzle with lemon and adjust seasoning if necessary.4 Bake until batter is golden, about 20 minutes. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
