“Lottery Ticket”
When I went to buy a lottery ticket,
the friendly lady said, “Pick it!”
With no luck,
I lost one buck.
When I lost my dollar,
everyone heard me holler.
They stole my money,
and that’s not funny.
I’m in my sorrow,
’cause they won’t let me borrow.
One more ticket I bought,
for the big jackpot.
No numbers were a match,
but I had one more to scratch.
I almost won the lottery,
and my eyes were watery.
The lottery I never won,
and money I have none.
But I came real near,
to becoming a millionaire.
